Ron Balthazor received an M. Div. from Emory in 1987 and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia in 1999. His publications include "Digression and Meaning: A Reading of 'In the Miro District'" in Critical Essays on Peter Taylor and "To Play Life: Thoreau' s Fabulous Reality" in ATQ. His most recent publication, with Christy Desmet, Caroline Barratt, and Kristen Nielsen, is “Collaboration is Key: Librarians and Composition Instructors Analyze Student Research and Writing” in Portal. Ron currently teaches composition and is the lead developer of the project, a web application for the complete writing process. His continuing interests include Thoreau, Wendell Berry, PHP, Symfony, and gardening. He writes a blog that offers his reflections on life in the garden: gardenhouseporch.blogspot.co m
